2011 is now well under way and I would like to encourage everyone to enjoy the many events throughout HRM

About Steve Streatch

Eastern Shore - Musquodoboit Valley

Community groups throughout our area offer a wide range of activities for our youth.

Whether it be through one of HRM's many recreation programs, a local organized sport team, a social club or volunteering within their community, it is with pride that we encourage our young people to participate, grow and learn.

The social, academic and life skills they acquire will help to mold them into the responsible and well rounded community leaders of our future.

I am very pleased that, by working with the communities, we have invested in new playgrounds, community rinks and a wide variety of recreational facilities, all of which contribute to the health and well-being of our citizens, especially our youth.
